Good evening guys!
I know that I promised to have these Honeymoon recaps completed within two weeks, but as you might expect life has definitely gotten in the way. So, moving right along tonight, let me tell you all about Day 3!

Brett and I always describe Day 3 of our honeymoon as our favorite since it was jammed packed with all sorts of fun and activity.
That morning we hopped out of bed, got ready, quickly ate breakfast then headed to the lobby to jump into a shuttle that took us to our catamaran’s departure location.
That’s our resort in the picture above, and below you will see Brett and I as the boat sailed away to our first destination.
During the boat ride we soaked up spectacular views.

After two hours, we were greeted by the beautiful Piton mountains.
That day we took the Wet-n-Wild Adventure Tour through Soufriere. Our first stop was to pick up our island buggy and meet our tour guide Nicholas.
Brett was a little nervous since he would have to drive on the opposite side of the vehicle and road while driving manually. He adjusted quickly, and we had an absolute blast cruising in these neat little buggies all day.
We made a few stops along our tour so that we could capture lots of pictures.
My hair was a bit out of control in some of these pictures since it was very gusty that day.
After about 40 minutes of driving through the mountains, we made our first prolonged stop at the black sand beach below.
It was here where Nicolas gave us samples of a few fruits that are popular among the island.

After leaving the black sand beach, we headed to our lunch destination.

Before serving ourselves lunch we were able to try the fresh cocoa beans pictured above.
Our lunch that day consisted of local cuisine which was served buffet style.
After lunch we passed near a volcano, and also soaked in a sulfur bath. It smelled horrible, but apparently the bath was very therapeutic for our skin.
After exiting the bath, Brett and I each rubbed white mud on our skin, then our tour guides decorated us with the black mud.
Brett was upset that we couldn’t create our own designs on each other, but I think our guides did a decent job of making us look a bit creepy. What do you think?
Our last stop of the tour brought us to a beautiful waterfall. It was here that we were able to rinse off all of the sulfur mud.
It was also freezing!
After returning our buggies, we were shuttled back to the catamaran.
We then geared up to do a bit of snorkeling. I wish I could have been able to take underwater pictures, but I planned poorly for our trip and did not purchase a water-proof camera. I told Brett that I was officially placing a GoPro on my wish list so that I wouldn’t miss documenting such events in the future.
We were able to snorkel in the area pictured above for about 30-40 minutes. Since it was my first time snorkeling, I was a nervous wreck. I held Brett’s hand the entire time. We were told not to touch anything, so I guess I was paranoid that I would accidentally graze a piece of coral. I was also suspicious as to what we would come into contact with under the water. I know, what a big chicken! Ha!
Once we got back on the boat we were offered complimentary refreshments.
Brett and I thought it so funny that the guest on the boat ride back were so much more talkative and friendly due to the presence of alcohol. We enjoyed the sunset as we visited and danced with our new best friends for the evening.
Once we made it back to the resort, we quickly showered and changed in order to grab dinner. That night we dined at Neptune’s.
To start we enjoyed hummus and a grilled octopus salad. I preferred the hummus, and truth be told, we only ordered the octopus salad out of curiosity. It was too chewy for me.
For my main dish I chose the Crab on Crab. I definitely preferred the soft shell crab over the stuffed crab. I’ve had so many amazing stuffed crabs throughout my life in Louisiana, so this one really didn’t stand a chance….sorry St. Lucia!
And Brett selected the Mahi Provencal.
We ended the night at the Piano Bar just as we had the previous two nights.
I was finally able to capture an image of Brett singing with the piano man.
And above you will see our favorite bartender, Lucas, singing and slinging drinks at the same time. Multitasking at its finest!
