Hope you guys all had a great weekend!
My weekend was fantastic! Brett only had to work Saturday afternoon this weekend, so we were able to head out to Agave, a local Mexican restaurant, Friday night.
Brett works in the ER at a local hospital, and he and his co-workers agreed to meet up Friday night after their shift to celebrate the end of a long week. We enjoyed dinner together, and also sipped on Margaritas. I also indulged in a Modelo, my favorite Mexican beer.
It was so nice to put work behind all of us and just enjoy the beginning of the weekend! You may notice Ryan and Angie in the picture below from the evening that we played Heads Up!
During dinner I opted for Steak Quesadillas and Brett got the Fried Rabbit on Half Chips. Both were great, but probably not the healthiest option. Oh well, it was the weekend and like I’ve mentioned before, during the weekend I order whatever my eye is drawn to on the menu.
I wish the above picture would not have came out so blurry, but I still love it because it truly looks like a memory.
Unfortunately, Brett had to go in to the hospital Saturday afternoon since the they were in need of help. While he was at work I decided to do a bit of shopping. This past week Brett built a sofa table for our home, and I was on the hunt for a few baskets to place underneath the table. I was not successful since I’m not exactly sure of my design plan completely, but I was excited to finally purchase my Yurbuds! I’ll be sure to give you guys a full review after using them this coming week.
Once Brett was home, he continued to work on the sofa table and I sat my butt on the couch and watched some of the Winter Olympics. I love watching this epic event no matter which sport is taking place. I’m totally obsessed whether it be the Winter or Summer Olympics. I blame my interest on the fact that I was athletically involved my whole life, and it is truly amazing to see the best talent in the world come together in such an incredible event. Go Team USA! While doing both of these activities we sipped on some hot Sake.
Today was spent straightening up the inside and outside of our home, and earlier this afternoon Brett started smothering a few rabbits for dinner tonight. The reasoning behind cleaning the house was because we were expecting a special visitor tonight…my Daddy! He’ll be spending tonight and tomorrow night with us in order to replace our breaker box.
We all cleared our plates, but more importantly enjoyed catching up while consuming this fantastic, southern meal.
Now it’s time to rest up and get to bed early. Although I hate seeing the weekend fade away, I’m very ready to get back to my workouts and healthier eating.
Have a great week and I’ll be back soon for another post!
What did you do this past weekend?
